Contest Deadline
The deadline for all Giveaway entries is January 31, 2026. All entries must be received before the published closing date of the giveaway.
1. Giveaway Description
Evans Heating & Cooling (“the Sponsor”) is offering one (1) eligible homeowner in the Niagara Region of Ontario the opportunity to receive a new natural gas furnace, including standard installation, to replace their existing forced-air natural gas furnace (the “Prize”). No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible to enter the Giveaway, participants must:
- Be a legal resident of Ontario, Canada.
- Be the legal homeowner of a single-family dwelling located in the Niagara Region.
- Have a functioning forced-air natural gas furnace currently installed in their home.
- Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in Ontario at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Evans Heating & Cooling (LT Evans Refrigeration Limited), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter (One Entry Limit)
- Entry Requirements: Entries are limited to one (1) submission per household. Multiple entries from the same household will be disqualified.
- Submission Details: To enter, participants must visit www.evansheatingandcooling.ca/furnace-giveawayand complete the official entry form. Required information includes full name, address, phone number, email address, and a clear picture of the existing furnace.
- Consent: By entering, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, including consent to be contacted by phone and/or email.
- Entry Review: Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or do not meet eligibility requirements may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
- Customers who purchase a new furnace from Evans Heating & Cooling between Jan 1, 2026 and Feb 14, 2026 are eligible to enter and win their furnace purchase. Up to maximum $5300 reimbursement
4. The Prize
The Prize consists of:
- One (1) new Evans Select natural gas furnace, maximum 100,000 BTU, up to $5,300 retail value.
- Professional standard installation by Evans Heating & Cooling at the winner’s home.
The standard manufacturer’s warranty will apply, and Evans Heating & Cooling will provide a one-year labour warranty from the date of installation. The Prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted or exchanged. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with an item of equal or greater value if necessary.
5. Installation Terms
- Schedule: Installation will occur on a weekday during Evans Heating & Cooling’s regular business hours.
- Scope of Work: The installation includes standard replacement of an existing natural gas furnace. Any additional work required (e.g., ductwork modification, electrical upgrades, venting, or code-related corrections) that falls outside the standard scope of installation will be discussed with the homeowner and may be subject to additional charges, with the homeowner’s consent.
- Right to Refuse: The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse or cancel installation, or withdraw the Prize offer entirely, if unsafe work conditions, hazardous site access, or hostile or abusive behaviour are encountered at the winner’s home or during communication with the Sponsor’s staff or representatives.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected by a random draw or other fair method determined by Evans Heating & Cooling after the contest closing date. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone and/or email. To be confirmed as the winner, the selected entrant must:
- Respond to the notification within 10 days;
- Correctly answer, without mechanical aid or assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor;
- Confirm eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions; and
- Sign and return a declaration and release form, if requested.
Failure to comply may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate entrant.
7. General Terms
- Marketing & Discount Consent: By entering the Giveaway, participants agree and consent to be contacted with consultation prize offers and discounts from Evans Heating & Cooling.
- Publicity: By entering, participants agree that Evans Heating & Cooling may use their name, city or town of residence, photograph, and images or video taken during the installation for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and advertising, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
- Privacy: Personal information collected for this Giveaway will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest, contacting entrants, and fulfilling the Prize, in accordance with applicable Ontario privacy laws. Information will not be sold or shared with third parties outside of these purposes.
- Liability: By participating, entrants release Evans Heating & Cooling, its employees, contractors, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the Giveaway, the installation, or use of the Prize, except where prohibited by law.
- Modifications: The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Giveaway if the minimum number of 50 entries is not received, or in the event of fraud, technical failure, or any other cause that interferes with the proper conduct of the Giveaway.
- Legal Compliance: This Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
By entering the Giveaway, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
