System was off upon arrival. Customer had been experiencing problems with system short cycling late last summer. Tested operation of unit. High side pressures would quickly clime above 500 psi and shut off on high pressure. System was overcharged with refrigerant. Removed 2 lbs of 410-a. Got pressures down to the low 300s on the high side. Subcooling down from around 30 to 10 which is what the unit calls for. Low side pressures are still god, superheat of 15. Running amps dropped from 12.6 to 7.1. Unit is using almost half the amount of hydro now that the compressor isn’t struggling. System is cooling well with 16f temp drop.

Lennox AC repair. Upon arrival outdoor unit was not coming on. Inspected electrical components and found a blown capacitor. Replaced 45/5 cap. Tested operation of unit. Cooling well with 18f temp drop. Found no other problems or concerns during visit.

Work Completed Indoor: Tested thermostat, inspected filter/blower, and flushed the condensate drain. Outdoor & Electrical: Inspected condenser and wiring; tested capacitor and contactor (all specs normal). Performance: Confirmed optimal refrigerant charge, normal operating pressures, and excellent cooling capacity. Next Steps To maximize efficiency and extend your system's lifespan, keep up with routine maintenance. for your business!

Misc - warranty added uv dye and 22oz of 410a to the system to bring unit back up to working pressure. Tested system Fully operational. Explained to customer about basic leak search provided at the next maintenance, unless system starts to fail this year. Then he will call us to come back.
