Ac repair , furnace motor was not running , needed a new 5 mfd capacitor, condenser had also blown the 20 amp breaker , tested compressor motor and had a reading to ground of 34 k ohms but the unit is still running , tested after it ran for 10 mins and no reading to ground , I believe compressor is in the early stages of failure , customer would like to change the compressor because the house is for sale

AC service call. Unit is out of refrigerant, leak in one of the coils. AC is a closed system with no option to hook up gauges. Recommended the install of a ductless AC as the best option.

Furnace and air conditioning maintenance. Furnace is In good shape for its age. Inspected heat exchanger. Has a lot of stress marks, and it’s very purple which is a sign of over heating. Venter motor is loud and could benefit replacing the motor. Air conditioning has very low charge of R22. Last years repot from our technician was 160 PISG on high, 60 PSIG on low. Today was 140 PSIG on the high 42 PSIG on the low. While doing a furnace maintenance, noticed the rental water heater exhaust flu collar popped off the venter motor. The exhaust pipe is too short and was forced into the flu collar during installation. Recommend to customer to call enercare to fix venting to prevent this from happening again.
