Performed full diagnostic on Lennox EL296UH045XE36B-03 furnace for ignition and flame-sensing fault. Verified proper power, polarity, and grounding throughout the system. Inspected and cleaned burners and flame sensor — flame is strong and stable. Tested with multiple flame sensors and confirmed continuity from flame sensor terminal to control board. Bonded additional ground from furnace to ensure proper reference. Ignition sequence verified — unit lights and runs briefly, then faults with error codes E240/E270 (no flame sensed) and intermittent E125 (internal control fault). Grounding and flame-sense wiring confirmed good. Control board intermittently fails self-check and loses flame signal even with stable combustion and verified grounding, indicating internal failure in the board’s flame-sense circuit. Fireplace Maintenance: Thoroughly cleaned the firebox, removing soot, dust, debris, and any pests. Vacuumed and dusted the ceramic log set, restoring its polished appearance.
